Do You Think that Podcasts are the Future?

You might have seen a lot of companies starting with their own podcasts.

Isn't it true?

We are seeing a lot of ads and banners of podcasts on the Internet. People use them mainly for interviewing purpose and some may even share some valuable stuff related to a particular niche.

Starting Our Podcast


Some people suggested us start a podcast for our business magazine. They even suggested to us some names that we can put for it. Our team got confused because we don't currently have any topic or path for starting a podcast.

And the main reason for not starting one is that it would require consistency. Once started we would have to share episodes consistently otherwise the subscribers will go away.

Last year, one of our friends started a podcast and he even interviewed some famous influencers in his niche. In just one month his episodes got around 1,200 views and 176 subscribers. He thought to scale things up but then he got some other big projects. And, when he checked the stats after a month or two then almost everyone unsubscribed the podcast.

So, do you think a podcast is the future?

It is good to have one at your side but it requires a lot of work both physically and mentally. You might even require a person working solely on managing that.

Other than that it requires consistent connections with influencers and follow-ups to get them on board. They might not agree with your timings and this rescheduling thing might cost you a lot.

There are good things with that too as by connecting with so many influencers you can easily build a brand out of your podcast. People might reach you for projects and all in the latter days of working for things.

And, we are thinking to start one later this year and for that, we need a few suggestions. The first one is for the name and the second one is for the platform that we need to choose. Some people are suggesting us go with Anchor as it is one of the most popular and free platforms to start a podcast.

We don't have any issue with the budget but we are focused much on the features. Some people also suggested pod beans but we have not used it yet.
